  • Answer Me 1997

I started a new korean drama called Answer Me 1997. It just finished broadcasting a few weeks ago and supposedly got good ratings. I just started it this week and I’m already on episode 8 (of 16), so yeaup, I’m hooked. It has a really good mix of funny moments, heart-breaking drama, and love triangles.

But with my recent history of kdramas, I’m totally expecting the ending to suck big time. I figure setting my expectations low is a win-win: if it’s good, great!, if not, I was expecting it to suck anyways.

    update:
I'm now on episode 13. Still hooked. This show is very good at ending episodes with a kind of cliffhanger that makes you want to watch the next episode immediately. And they string you along my telling you what happens, but not to or with whom, so you're left guessing until they reveal in later episodes. Damn this show!! It's raising my expectations now. It better end good.

  • The Best Thing To Happen For My Health Is.....

.....free wifi at the gym. For the Netflix. Pretty much self-explanatory, but I'm going to elaborate anyways.

My apartment has a pool, with free wifi around it's vicinity. My apartment also has a gym, which is located next to the pool, but apparently wasn't close enough since there was no wifi signal there. Until last week. Now there's a strong signal, so I can stream Netflix on my iPhone or TouchPad to keep my mind occupied while exercising. I already have a hard enough time actually getting to the gym, and when I actually go, it's hard to stay motivated to workout longer. For some reason, I yawn the most/longest while on the elliptical machine or treadmill, and I'm not even tired or anything, it's kind of crazy. But now, with the wifi, I can watch tv shows while exercising, and I've got a lot to catch up on like Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Parks & Recreation, just to name a few. One episode of Breaking Bad, then one of Parks & Rec is over an hour right there, and I could go for several episodes.

So yeah, new rule for me: can't watch anything on Netflix unless it's at the gym while working out. I like to call it the Netflix workout plan.
